Our apartment is 110 m2 and is situated on 2nd floor. There is an elevator in the building. The apartment has a large living/dining room separated by the kitchen. In each end of the room is a balcony, one with morning son, the other one with son from noon till dusk. There is a master bedroom with two beds, a guestroom with a sofa which converts into a double bed, and a smaller room (study where our grandkids play) equipped with a baby bed. Besides that a bathroom with a shower. In the backyard is a nice playground. There is a parking place in the basement should you want to bring or rent a car. The apartment is perfect for a family or two couples.

The apartment is centrally located. You can walk to Tivoli and The Town Hall Square in 10-15 minutes. The Metro is five minutes walk away. A couple of stops to Copenhagen Airport. And busses just around the corner. The area is very peaceful. Lots of small shops and cafes in the neighbourhood. A very popular activity for many citicens of Copenhagen is bathing at the harbour. Yes, the water is clean enough for bathing.

Maybe the best way to experience Copenhagen is by bike. Rent one of Copenhagens advanced city bikes with built-in GPS and tourist information, and plan your own route or book a guided bike tour with one of Copenhagens professional cycling guides.

Or you can experience the idyllic harbours and canals of Copenhagen with a canal tour. The tour is guided in both Danish and English, and maybe German, Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish. On the tour you will see: The Copenhagen Opera House, Amalienborg Palace (the royal palace), Christiansborg Palace (thye parliament building), the Black Diamond Library, and, of course, the Little Mermaid, and much, much more.

Discover Copenhagen as captain of your own solar-powered picnic boat in Copenhagens harbour and canals. With a speed of three knots (approximately five-six km/h), the small blue boats move slowly and silently through the citys canals. The boats are easy to operate and do not require any certificate or prior experience with sailing. The staff guide you on what routes to take through the canals and harbour.

Something about ourselves

My wife, Birgit, and I (Soren) retired some 10 years ago. We have recently sold our house and moved to Copenhagen to live near our younger son, his wife and our two grandkids. We have travelled a lot all our life. Since we retired we spend 2-3 months every winter in the south of Spain. We have a holiday cottage so we are very flexible to exchange homes.

Preferred destinations: Spain, England, Scotland, We like to go anywhere - surprise us!
